09 Sep FAI Podere Lovara opens to the public
Starting Thursday, May 8, the FAI – Italian National Trust (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano ETS) will open Podere Lovara to the public. Perched on the Punta Mesco promontory, this 45-hectare estate of unspoiled Mediterranean scrubland overlooks the sea and can only be reached on foot along the scenic trail connecting Levanto and Monterosso.
Set within the Cinque Terre National Park—a Site of Community Importance and a UNESCO World Heritage Site—Podere Lovara is part of a landscape of exceptional natural and cultural value. The estate includes three restored rural buildings: the two “Lovara Houses”—Casa Rossa, now offering hospitality and refreshment services in newly renovated spaces, and Casa Bianca, home to the immersive video installation “This Is a Human Park”, which tells the story of the Punta Mesco landscape—and the third building, Casa Nuova.
