ACCIAIO

A cyclic structure, an ongoing transformation process.
In the new ACCIAIO section the idea of cycle is shown in a 3D representation. The central installation is a continuous steel belt in which matter shapes and visualises an idea. The use of multimedia is integrated within the installation and they become a single entity.
The images and sounds are produced by and become an integral part of the physical nature of the exhibit.
The material itself reveals the distinctive characteristics and properties that make it such an important material in our lives.
The belt-of-steel, as it unfolds, presents us with evocative images of castings, ladles, water and laminates, data, inscriptions and sounds which describe the life, death and rebirth of this fascinating metal alloy.
