The feminine figure in Ancient Egyptian religion, as in many other primitive cults, was strictly connected to the themes of fertility and nature under the different guises of both a creative and destructive force. The natural elements are ancient symbols that recur in all archaic religions just as they do in the Egyptian one, water and fire in particular embody the concepts of creation and destruction. The first two halls of the exhibition are characterised by the installation of a single archaeological find of great aesthetic and historical value. A video installation of great visual and immersive impact strikes the visitor entering the two spaces : in the first one the audience has the impression of walking on a wet surface and is surrounded by the drumming of a gentle rain shower, whilst in the second one they are brushed by imaginary flames.
