Palazzo Ducale

Exhibition designed for the Tower and the Historical prisons

Entering the evocative scenario of the Grimaldina Tower part of the Palazzo Ducale, the visitors are welcomed by a video on the story of Genoa focusing on the Palace’s main events.
Within one of the rooms of the tower – once used as a prison for political prisoners and nobles awaiting for their ransom, a videoinstallation recreates the feeling of a group of prisoners awaiting judgement. The videos are projected directly onto the plaster of the walls, giving the impression that it is the building itself the storytellerof the hard the living conditionsin which the prisoners lived.
