Museo Diffuso
3 aprile - 21 giugno 2009
A multimedia exhibition designed and curated with the Piedmont Institute for the History of Resistance and Contemporary Society
Museo Diffuso, Torino, 3th April – 21st June 2009
In the exhibition space an element is repeated along the walls: old school chairs, an object that is part of everybody’s experience. In two areas the real object is replaced by a virtual reproduction that appears in a large-scale video projection. When the visitors sits down on the real chairs, placed in front of the projection, the projection comes to life and the real protagonists take the stage: students from a number of middle and upper schools in Turin.
In the videos, the kids p express their thoughts on subjects they have discussed in class. A few gestures and short phrases are supported by animated graphics that complete the meaning of their work.
Also on show are 69 drawings by three elementary fifth form classes that represent the Italian Constitution in a metaphorical way.
